Arthur Rudlaff, 82, of Berrien Springs, was called home by his Lord on Friday, April 8, 2016.
He was born August 6, 1933, the son of the late Carl and Augusta (Hebner) Rudlaff. He married Erna King on June 2, 1962. Their marriage of nearly 54 years was blessed with three sons, of whom he was very proud and whose lives and families enriched him—Kent (Lisa) and their children, Rachel, Joseph, and Julia; Kyle (Lisa) and their children James, Brock, and Renee’; Joel (Fletcher) and their children Karra, Kristen, and Kurt; and one great-grandchild, Joseph, Jr.
Art was an employee of Tyler Refrigeration Company for 38 years. As a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Berrien Springs, he served on the finance board for many years. He thoroughly enjoyed time with family and friends. His favorite activities were fishing, gardening, competing in playing cards, horseshoes, and bowling.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Douglas Adams officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Allred Funeral Home is serving the family, and online messages may be left at www.allredfuneralhome.com.
Predeceasing him were his brothers, Herman, Fred, Walter, Herbert; and sister, Clara Hamilton. Surviving siblings are Matilda Sonnenberg, Ruth Ellis, Ernest, John, and Robert Rudlaff.
