Bruce Wrenn

Bruce Wrenn was born Nov. 9, 1950, in Mobile, AL, the youngest child of Walter and Winona (Jeffrey) Wrenn. He passed to his rest on March 29, 2025, in Granger Indiana. He spent his early years in Bay Minette, AL and married his childhood sweetheart Jan Carmichael on June 12, 1971. He graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in business from Auburn University in 1973, and a MBA degree from Northwestern University in 1974. Jan and Bruce both worked for the Upjohn Company in Kalamazoo from 1974 to 1978, when they moved to Berrien Springs where Bruce accepted a faculty position at Andrews University. He returned to Northwestern to earn a Ph.D. in marketing, which he completed in 1989. He served on the faculty at Indiana University from 1989 to 2008, when he returned to Andrews as the J. N. Andrews endowed Chair of Marketing. He was a long-time member of Pioneer Memorial Church in Berrien Springs.

He dearly loved his God, family, golden retrievers, and a multitude of close friends. His family, friends and former students knew him as a warm, generous man with a quick wit and smile. He was a prolific scholar, with more than 100 publications and scholarly presentations to his name. He was preceded in death by his father (1992), mother (2011) and sister Kitty (2011). Bruce is survived by his wife, Jan; sister Joan (George); nephews and nieces Steven, Stephanie, Michael, and Winona.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Allred Funeral Home in Berrien Springs, Michigan. A Funeral service will be held at Pioneer Memorial Church on the campus of Andrews University on April 26 at 5:00pm.
