Cecil R. Jorgensen, 80, of Berrien Springs, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at his home.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Pioneer Memorial Church on the campus of Andrews University, where he was a member. Online messages may be left at www.allredfuneralhome.com.
Cecil was born March 22, 1938, in Waushara County, Wisconsin, the son of Harold P. and Myrtle (West) Jorgensen. He served his country with the United States Army. He taught drivers education for Eau Claire High School and Andrews University for 30 years, and he was a member of the Berrien Springs American Legion Stover-Wagner Post 85. His leisure enjoyments included gardening and stamp collecting.
Survivors include a daughter, Cecilia Gregory of Indiana; sons: Cecil R. (Crystal) Jorgensen II of Kalamazoo, Roger Lee (Sherry) Jorgensen of Illinois, Hans Peter Jorgensen of Indiana; two stepsons: Dewey and James Carlson of Berrien Springs; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Eugene Jorgensen.
Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Monica, whom he married August 16, 1976; and two brothers, Homer and Horace Jorgensen.
