David Keith Joyce

David Keith Joyce, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023, in Stevensville, Michigan, at the age of 84. Born on June 17, 1939, in Saginaw, Michigan.

David was the son of the late Melvin and Irene (Grunow) Joyce. He grew up in a household that included his sister Bonnie Jean and brother Roger, both of whom preceded him in death. David's legacy continues through his family, including his three sons, Daniel (and wife Dawn), Terry (and wife Carol), and Richard, as well as his grandchildren, Danielle Joyce, Hannah (Grayson) Oake, Abigail Joyce, Zachary Joyce, Olivia Joyce, and Eleanor Joyce, and his great-grandchildren, Charlotte Joyce and Abram Oake.

A proud graduate of Adelphian Academy, David built a respectable career as a Quality Control Inspector at Reynold's Metal. His keen eye for detail and unwavering commitment to quality left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry. David's professional life was marked by diligence and a deep sense of responsibility, traits that earned him the respect and admiration of all who worked alongside him.

David's personal life was filled with vibrant interests and activities that reflected his zest for life. His fascination with cars, especially Hondas, was well-known, as he took immense pride in keeping his vehicles in pristine condition. David's love for the outdoors was evident in his beautifully maintained lawn and the array of brightly colored begonias and gardenias that he lovingly planted each year.

Sunday morning breakfasts with David at Cracker Barrel and Nikki’s always coincided with friends alongside of him. Those gatherings were filled with laughter, often sparked by David’s sense of humor. He had the unique ability to tell a joke, oftentimes laughing more heartily than and humored at his own jokes.

Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honor of David may do so to the charity of their choice.

A service to celebrate his life will take place Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Allred Funeral Home beginning at 7 p.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior.

David's life was a testament to the power of hard work and the impact a well told joke could make on a day. As we bid farewell to this man, we tuck into our hearts memories that we cherish and, in his absence, reflect on the lessons he taught and the impact he left on our lives.
