Donald Corey Poole

Donald Corey Poole, 48 years of age, of St. Joseph, formerly of Berrien Springs, suffered a sudden fatal heart attack in the early morning hours of March 12, 2020.
Don “Donnie” was born January 20, 1972 to Merlin and Wanda Poole at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois. Don graduated from Andrews Academy in 1990. His first son, Gabriel Ryan, was born January of 2004. He married Allison Poomaikalani Murphy on November 24, 2005. Don and Allison welcomed Corey Akela in December of 2006.
Don was a long-time personal trainer and expert carpenter. He was a devoted husband, father and son. He loved to ride dirt bikes, workout, make continual improvements on their home, yard, gym and spend time with his family. He was known for his million-dollar smile and big heart.
Don is survived by his wife, Allison; two sons, Gabriel and Corey; mother, Wanda (Duane) Poole Ferguson; two sisters, Shanna Leak and Jodi (Willie) Iwankiw; and grandparents, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Merlin Poole.

Sadly, due to the COVID-19 and the new recommendations from the CDC, services that were previously scheduled are being canceled. A memorial service will be planned when things are safe. Please send condolences online to www.allredfuneralhome.com.
