Doris Berneice Eggleston Brohman, 89, of Berrien Springs, died early Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Allred Funeral Home in Berrien Springs, with Pastor O’Ryan Rickard of Arden United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and leave online messages at www.allredfuneralhome.com. Inurnment at the Rose Hill Cemetery columbarium will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to Arden United Methodist Church, of which she was a member.
Doris was born Nov. 2, 1929, in Niles. She retired as secretary for the Berrien Springs Public Schools Hearing Impaired Program. She served as State President of Michigan Jayshees, and she was a member of the Rolling Shamrocks, Band Boosters, and the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Ernest Brohman; sons: Richard (Karen) Brohman of Stevensville, Kenneth (Linda) Brohman of Monmouth, Ill., James (Bonnie) Brohman of South Bend; grandchildren: Katie (Steve) Wideen, Jennifer (Jess) Ammerman, Paul (Emily) Brohman, Betsey Brohman, Michael (Catherine) Brohman, Amanda Brohman; great-grandchildren: Dylan, Lucas, Ryan, Deacon and Larkin.
Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Miller; grandson, Bryan James Brohman; and brother, William Eggleston.
