Eleanor C. Stanhiser, 100, of Berrien Springs, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, at Pioneer Memorial Church on the campus of Andrews University, Berrien Springs, where friends may visit from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Pastor Dwight Nelson will officiate. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 2, at Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Pioneer Memorial Church, where she was a member; and online messages may be left at www.allredfuneralhome.com.
Eleanor was born April 13, 1917, in Benton Harbor, the daughter of George and Veva (Henderson) Danneffel, and she had resided in Berrien Springs since 1947. In addition to caring for her family, she was a registered nurse. She loved flowers and was a member of the Michigan Flower Club.
Survivors include two sons: Otto (Georgia) Stanhiser Jr. and Gary (Ruth) Stanhiser; daughter, Barbara (Bill) Fisher; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Stanhiser Sr. in 1963; and her parents.
