Floyd M. Ahlers

Floyd M. Ahlers, 80, of Berrien Springs, went to sleep in Jesus early Monday morning, February 6, 2023.

Floyd was born May 18, 1942, in Clam Falls, Wisconsin, one of twin sons of Harold L. and Solane E. (Laursen) Ahlers. He married Irene M. Herbst on December 25, 1966, and they shared 56 happy years of marriage.

He earned a Master’s degree and was an elementary school teacher in Sheboygan and Janesville, Wisconsin; and in Lapeer, Michigan. After moving to Berrien Springs, Floyd worked at the Central County Senior Center, for Berrien Bus, and at Timber Ridge Manor.

Floyd by is survived by his wife, Irene; daughters, Lisa Ahlers and Lori Jones; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Lloyd Ahlers; his sister, Ilea McDaniel; and his daughter, Tamara McDonald.
