Genevieve Irene Rindfield, age 95, of Berrien Springs went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
She was born January 7, 1925, in Adrian, Mich. to Thomas and Elizabeth (Stutzman) Lowery. On March 22, 1950 she married Adolph Rindfield. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1979. Genevieve retired from Berrien Springs Public Schools and was a member of Bright Star Tabernacle church. She volunteered for the American Legion, was a scout leader and loved watching NASCAR, the Kentucky Derby, reading, and putting together puzzles. Genevieve dearly loved her family, and her home was filled with neighborhood children who knew her as Grandma Jenny.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry (Yvonne) Rindfield of Bremen, Ind. and Larry (Madilynn) Rindfield of Berrien Springs; four daughters: Diane Burkhard of Ironwood, Mich., Mary (Bill) Foley of Stevensville, Pamela Sirovica of Hurst, Tex., and Jean (Chuck) Bauer of Fairmont, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
In addition to Adolph, her husband of 29 years, she was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Doris Graf; her brother-in-law, Willard Graf; and one grandchild, Logan Rindfield.
