Gordon R. Scribner

Gordon R. Scribner, 101, was born Nov. 29, 1920 in Berrien Springs and lived in Berrien County most of his life. He died Dec. 29, 2021 in Loma Linda, Calif.

Gordon was a local building contractor. He was a man of God and a lover of nature and music. He also was a very proud grandpa who loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Gordon is survived by his daughter, Janet Scribner Horn; eight grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and his stepdaughter, Sandy Balli (Don) and her family.

He is predeceased by his wife, Bethany Hutchings Scribner; his three sons: James, Kenneth and Charles; and Beverly Ely Scribner, whom he married after the death of Bethany.
