Gregory Phillip Smith

Gregory Phillip Smith, 60, of Berrien Springs, died Jan. 4, 2022, at Spectrum Health Lakeland, St. Joseph.

Greg was born Nov. 16, 1961, in Elmhurst, Ill., the son of George and Joanne (Kucharski) Smith. His high school years were at Edwardsburg Public School District, and his college education was at Andrews University and Western Michigan University, where he earned his Bachelors of Engineering Technology/Aviation. His career as a mechanical engineer spanned 30+ years for Whirlpool Corporation, five years for Steelcase, and currently for Dometic Corporation. Greg’s hobbies included photography and traveling, and he was an outdoor enthusiast.

Greg is survived by his wife, Maureen; four children: Christopher, Kourtney, Jessica, and Patrick Smith; and his brother, Raymond Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
