Jeanette Morris

Jeanette Morris, 89, of Berrien Springs passed away Monday, February 27, 2017, at Woodland Terrace of Longmeadow in Niles. 

Jeanette was born August 3, 1927, in Cass County, Michigan, to Harvey and Fern (Charles) Hall.  She graduated from Decatur High School, and on June 20, 1948, in Glenwood, Michigan, she married Richard Morris.

The couple made their home in Berrien Springs for the last 45 years, coming from Decatur.  Jeanette worked in the cafeteria at Andrews University for several years, and they were members of Pioneer Memorial Church.  She enjoyed crocheting, and loved traveling around the world with her husband. 

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Richard; and sister, Eunice Abshagen of Onaway, Michigan; as well as nephew, Ron (Sheridan) Morris of Millburg.   Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Janice in 1989 and Judy in 2005; three brothers: James, Wallace and Wayne Hall; and two sisters, Thelma Beardsley and Mary Penning.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, at Pioneer Memorial Church in Berrien Springs.  Visitation at the church will begin at noon, with funeral services at 1 p.m. and burial at Rose Hill Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.   Memorial contributions appreciated to Pioneer Memorial Church or Hospice at Home.  Online memories and messages may be left at www.allredfuneralhome.com.
