Joan Arnold, 74, originally from Berrien Springs, passed away March 3, 2021.
She was born Feb. 8, 1947, to Vernice Curtis and Glenn “Bud” Arnold.
She called many places home including Michigan, Colorado, New Mexico and Kentucky. She had a great sense of humor, loved to dance, boat, garden and ski. She was drawn to the mountains and water.
She became a skilled occupational therapist, owning her own practice and was proud of the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program she had created at Lake Michigan College in Niles.
She enjoyed her grandchildren immensely and was very passionate about her canine companions. She is survived by her brothers: John and Bill Arnold; son, John Diener; daughter, Ericka Kidd; and grandchildren: Kate, Sam, Raven and Meridian.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at the Allred Funeral Home, 212 S. Main St., Berrien Springs. Messages and memories may be shared online at www.allredfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your local Humane Society in honor of her love for her dog companions.
