John Charles Keppel Jr.

John Charles "Jack" Keppel Jr., aged 70, of Berrien Springs, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024. Born on August 23, 1954, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, to John Charles Keppel Sr. and Francis Lydia (Bullock) Keppel, Jack grew up imbued with the values of hard work and dedication that would define his life. He is survived by 3 siblings, Gale Keppel and Vicki Vonderahe both living in Indiana and Lowell Keppel residing in Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.

Jack honorably served his country in the United States Navy before embarking on a career as an electrician. His skill and keen mind not only brought light to homes and businesses but also warmth to the hearts of those who knew him best. He loved playing his guitar and singing old rock and roll tunes.

Those who knew Jack will remember him as a loving, kind, generous and funny individual. His laughter was infectious, and his presence was unmistakable. Jack's sense of humor, combined with his generous spirit, made him a cherished companion and friend. He possessed deeply held beliefs in God, which he never hesitated to share with others.

Jack's memory will be carried forward by the many lives he touched. Though he has set sail on his final voyage, the legacy of his love and laughter remains as a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jack's life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, the strength of kindness, and the power of a well-timed joke.

As we bid farewell to "Jack" Keppel, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey on the path less traveled, and a man deeply loved. His extraordinary spirit will continue in the memories of his friends and family until we meet again.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Allred Funeral Home in Berrien Springs, Michigan. His cremated remains will be scattered in the ocean per his wishes. There are no services planned at this time.
