Lillian M. Christl

Lillian Christl, 94, a longtime resident of Berrien Springs, passed away Feb. 20, 2022 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman.

She was born Aug. 21, 1927 to the late Fred and Christina Bischoff. On Nov. 26, 1950 Lillian married Roland Christl, who survives.

Lillian was the loving mother of four children: William (Rita) Christl, Susan (Robert) Pilot, Laureen (Christopher) Haughey, and Beverly (John) Wickman. She was the loving grandmother of five grandchildren: Melesa (Doug) Swartz, Kimberli (Moe) Nabil, Justin Pilot, Andrea Wickman and Bradley Wickman; and five great-grandchildren: Luca, Aria, and Kailey Swartz, and Gemma and Juud Nabil. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert; and her sister, Elsie.

Lillian enjoyed baking, gardening, and spending many winters in warm, sunny Florida. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and their many activities.

There will be a private family funeral, followed by burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs. Arrangements are entrusted to Allred Funeral Home in Berrien Springs. Friends and family wishing to leave a memory of Lillian may do so at www.allredfuneralhome.com.
