Lorri Ann Wesner, a gentle and caring soul, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 18, 2024, at Corewell Health in St. Joseph, Michigan. Born on February 23, 1963, in Winter Haven, Florida, Lorri's warmth and kindness touched all who knew her throughout her 60 years of life.
Lorri grew up in the sunny climes of Florida, where she formed lifelong bonds with her loving sisters, Peggy Lyons and Debbie Stevens. The trio shared an unbreakable connection that only sisters can, supporting each other through all of life's twists and turns. Lorri's education journey led her to earn her GED, a testament to her determination and commitment to personal growth.
Professionally, Lorri found her niche in office management, dedicating many years to the Ace Hardware Store, Hilltop Café, and the offices of Dr. Marr and Dr. Steele where she was well-respected by her colleagues and customers alike. Her meticulous nature and organizational skills made her an indispensable part of the team, and her pleasant demeanor made her a joy to work with.
Outside of work, Lorri was a woman of simple pleasures. She cherished the moments spent watching TV, delving into the lives of her favorite characters and stories. Her love for nature was evident in her hobbies, which included watching birds and butterflies dance in the sky. This passion for the outdoors was complemented by her fondness for playing Farmville, where she brought her love of agriculture and animals into the digital realm. Another activity she enjoyed was being on the boat with Ivar in the river.
An avid reader, Lorri could often be found with a book in hand, lost in other worlds and adventures. Her love for reading was just another aspect of her inquisitive and imaginative spirit. However, it was the time spent out on her porch, basking in the sun, that truly brought her peace and joy. There, she would sit for hours, simply enjoying the serenity of her surroundings.
Those who knew Lorri will remember her for the gentle way she approached life. She handled every situation with grace and a calm that reassured those around her. Her presence was a comforting force, and her legacy is one of kindness and serenity.
Lorri was preceded in death by her first husband Andy Wesner and her father Larry Wilson.
Lorri Ann Wesner leaves behind her loving mother, Donna Billingsly, beloved sisters, Peggy Lyons and Debbie Stevens, and her boyfriend Ivar Carlson who will forever cherish her memory. As they, along with her friends and colleagues, reflect on her life, they will find solace in the countless warm and joyful moments they shared with her.
Lorri's passing is a solemn reminder of the fragility of life, but also a celebration of the beauty that one person can bring into the lives of many. She will be deeply missed, yet her gentle spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
As we bid farewell to Lorri, we take comfort in knowing that she lived a life full of love, laughter, and the simple joys that make life worth living. May she rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
