Luz Ruiz

Luz Haydeé Ruiz-Tenorio died quietly at her sister and brother-in-law’s home December 25, 2016. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sabbath, January 14, 2017, at Pioneer Memorial Church on the campus of Andrews University, Berrien Springs, where she was a member.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Allred Funeral Home, Berrien Springs, and online messages may be left at www.allredfuneralhome.com.  The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Architecture Missions Group for Palpa School, c/o School of Architecture at Andrews University. 

Luz was born January 30, 1958, in Miraflores, Perú, South America, the daughter of Esteban Clodomiro Ruiz Rodriguez and Wilfrida Tenorio Bendezú.  She had resided in Berrien Springs since 1989.  She received an Associate in Arts degree in Bible Work and Personal Ministry from Loma Linda University and Bachelor of Arts in Theology and a Master’s of Divinity degrees from the Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. 

Survivors include her sister Willyta (Douglas) Wamack.
