Margaret Amelia (Zelmer) Redelings, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, in St. Joseph, Michigan, at the age of 80. Born on September 2, 1944, in Fresno, California, Margaret's gentle spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many throughout her remarkable journey.
Margaret's professional life was marked by her dedicated service as a courthouse secretary, where she was known for her efficiency and warmth. Her commitment to her work was paralleled only by her devotion to her faith community. As an active member of the Stephen Ministry, she provided compassionate care and support to those in need, embodying the ministry's mission of love and service.
Her creative talents shone brightly through her exceptional skills as a seamstress, a craft she pursued with passion and precision. Margaret's love for the outdoors was evident in her beautifully tended garden, a testament to her patience and nurturing touch.
Family was the cornerstone of Margaret's life. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Ricky Ludwig, her parents Paul and Dorothea Zelmer, her sister Kathleen Kaphaem, and brothers Paul (Pokey) and George (Pete) Zelmer. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her children Denise Graybeal and Steven Ludwig and her siblings Robert (Jane) Zelmer, Barbara (Erich) Swoboda, Pat (Danny) Margiotta, Cindy (Vern) Evans, Pam (Duane) Casey, Sherry (Brian) Kerutis, and Linda (Bill) Frantz. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Margaret Amelia Redelings will be remembered as a loving, faith-filled, and gentle soul, whose life was a testament to the power of kindness and the strength of the human spirit.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the End Alzheimer's Association.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Allred Funeral Home in Berrien Springs, Michigan. A funeral service will be held at Allred Funeral Home on Wednesday February 12, 2025 at 12:00 PM. A public visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 before the service. Following the service a burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery.
