Marylynn Frances (nee Brown) Rock, 94, formerly of Berrien Springs, died Saturday, February 10, 2018, at The Willows in St. Joseph.
Marylynn was born January 25, 1924, in Baroda, the third of seven children born to Lester and Frances (Bodjack) Brown. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1942. She held several jobs in Benton Harbor, with Clark Equipment being her favorite and from where she retired in the 1980s. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, yard sales, collecting plates, and her animals: Callie the cat; Jade, Strudle and Gidget the dogs, just to name a few.
She was married twice. Her first husband, Nicholas Dragisic, died in 1963. Her second husband, Harold Rock, died in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers: James “Jack”, Gerald, and Mark; and her only son, Paul Dragisic, in 2001.
Marylynn is survived by her brother, Lester, of Berrien Springs; sisters, Lois Scheuer of Coloma and Shirley Rukes of Sarasota, Florida; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Christine G. and Latesa T. from The Willows.
Allred Funeral Home, Berrien Springs, is in charge of arrangements. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Oronoko Township.
