Monnie Louise Mullis, 85, formerly of Berrien Springs, died November 12, 2022, at her home in Dowagiac.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 18, at Allred Funeral Home in Berrien Springs, with Pastor Christopher Peddie of Lakeside Family Church in Stevensville officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Run Cemetery, St. Joseph. Messages and memories may be shared online at www.allredfuneralhome.com.
Monnie was born April 9, 1937, in Batesville, Arkansas, the daughter of Edward Thomas and Florene (Baker) Weaver. In addition to caring for her family, she worked for Premier Tool and Die, retiring in 1999.
She loved all of her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she enjoyed holidays with the family. She loved spending time with family and friends. In the summer, Monnie especially liked sitting on the porch.
She was saved in her later life, and Monnie was a Christian who loved the Lord.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Toney) Jordan; son, Don (Pam) Billings; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Velma Mitchell; and brothers, Virgil (Mary) Weaver and Junior (Peggy) Weaver.
Monnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Easchol Mullis, on February 15, 2003; daughter, Stacy Pletz; and three sisters: Wanda, Mickey and Loretta Weaver.
