Nella Rose Burnett

Nella Rose (Raines) Burnett of St. Joseph, age 95, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020. She was a member of the Pioneer Memorial Church.

Nella was born to William M. and Maryanna Grace (Hutton) Raines on November 24, 1924 in Akron, Ohio, the youngest of three children.

Nella loved to sew. As a young woman, she made her own clothes and usually from her own designs. Through the years she designed and made clothes for her children and others. She also loved to bake and cook. Pies were her specialty and were a big hit at church potlucks.

Nella loved to sing in choirs and special groups, such as the Dayton Harmonettes of Ohio. She loved to travel the world before and after retirement.

Nella is survived by her son, Keith (Melinda) Wilson, and her daughter, Maryann Wilson (Gary) Burns.
She loved her grandchildren: Josie Burns, Nina Wilson (Chris) Cahill, Tyler (Lacey) Burns, Ryan Burns and was able to meet her great granddaughter, seven-month old Brylee (Tyler) Burns.

Nella was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, William Jr., and C.Vincent; her husband and father of her children, Eugene Wilson; husband, Bob Petrey; husband, Lyle Burnett; and her beloved daughter, Sherry (Albert) Dziedzina.
