Phyllis Belle Lausman, 91, of Baroda, on March 31, 2019, departed this life's trial to join the company of those who wait for the return of the Lamb to raise His Own.
Phyllis was born October 26, 1927 in Benton Harbor, the daughter of Henry and Olga (Felgner) Monty. She married LeRoy Lausman on March 16, 1946, and together they raised their family and operated their fruit farm. Phyllis also enjoyed volunteering as the Trinity Lutheran School secretary and as a member of the Ladies of Trinity.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Berrien Springs, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. A meal will be served by the women of Trinity after interment in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Diane Lausman of Portage; her son, Don (Cindy) Lausman of Stafford, Virginia; grandchildren: Tony (Sarah) Greenway, Sarah (Jason) Peterson, Megan (Chris) Henriques and Christa Lausman; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Doris Melville of Marcellus. Also waiting for the Lamb of God to return is her dear husband, LeRoy Lausman; and LeRoy and Phyllis' daughter, Carol Wohler; and their infant son, Douglas.
