Regina "Jean" Faye Pallas, 59, of Keweenaw Bay, Michigan, formerly of Berrien Springs, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at her home.
She was born April 23, 1958 in Niles, the daughter of Harry and Diva (Staton) Chastain. Jean graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1976. She worked at Premier Tool & Die in Berrien Springs until moving to Keweenaw Bay in 2008. Jean worked at the Marathon Station in Baraga and the Dollar Store in L'Anse prior to working at L'Anse Manufacturing.
She enjoyed rock collecting, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her mother, Diva Chastain of Berrien Springs; life partner, Fred Duis of Keweenaw Bay; children, Missy DeForest of Niles, Jodi (Dennis) Haygood and Beth Davey both of Berrien Springs, Marie Medic of Burlington, Wisconsin, Michael Pallas of Baraga; sister, Patricia McCarty and brother, Kenneth (Judy) Chastain, both of Berrien Springs; grandchildren: Steven, Christopher, Amanda, Sarah, Damian, Shelby, Riley, Nolan, Mikah, Caleb, Austin; and two great-grandchildren, Bentley and Alex.
Preceding her in death are her father, Harry Chastain; brother, Ed Chastain; and two grandchildren, Slade and Braxton.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, with funeral services at 10 a.m. at Allred Funeral Home in Berrien Springs. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Online memories may be shared at www.allredfuneralhome.com.
