Rhoda Mae Kendall, 85, of Berrien Springs, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 9, at Allred Funeral Home, Berrien Springs, with burial following in Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Home. Rhoda was born September 27, 1930, in Plainfield, New Jersey, the daughter of John and Mary (Stiles) Baker. She came to this area in the 1940s. She enjoyed traveling with her sister-in-law, Mary, and collecting bells. She was a seamstress and craftsman and made many wonderful things for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Fairplain Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Mae Kendall of Berrien Springs and Rhoda Jane (Dennis) Tilly of Benton Harbor; four grandchildren: Michael, Stephanie, Shannon, Christopher; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David L. Kendall; son, Larry Lee Kendall; and brother, John Daniel Baker.
