Rodman S. Brahman, 77, of St. Joseph, died Friday evening, February 23, 2018, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at the Stevensville Seventh-day Adventist Church, with Pastor Dave Gotshall officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church from 2:30-3:30 p.m., and to leave online condolences at www.allredfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rod’s name may be made to ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) or to Adventist Frontier Missions.
Rod was born August 11, 1940, in Muskegon, the son of Victor and Rosamond Brahman. He attended Andrews University and graduated from the University of Michigan. He worked for Heath Kit Company, and he was a software engineer for Whirlpool Corporation. He was a member of the Stevensville SDA Church, where he served as deacon and treasurer, and he participated in mission trips to Venezuela and the Philippines. Rod enjoyed being on his computer, doing puzzles, and Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy TV game shows. A favorite enjoyment was driving his red BMW.
Surviving are his wife, Rhonna (nee Root), whom he married July 1, 2007 in Stevensville; two step-daughters, Kayla Casteel and Daneeta (Joel) Renfro; and two step-grandchildren, William and Theodore Renfro.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Herbert Don Brahman.
