Sandra L. Seltzer

Sandra Seltzer, 64, of Niles, passed away July 21, 2023 after a long fight with cancer.

Sandy was born the second of three children on February 1, 1959 in Elko, Nevada, where her father was a pastor. She completed high school at Enterprise Academy in Kansas and one year of college at Andrews University. She returned to Kansas to work.

In 1980 Sandy moved back to Berrien Springs to work and to be near her sister. In 1988 she welcomed a son, Zach. For most of the rest of her life, Sandy and Zach lived in Niles. She worked for Lakeland Hospital in the business/accounting department as an assistant to the accountant for many years until she was disabled with a back injury.

Sandy is survived by her son, Zach Symonds; sister, Sharon (Ron) Symonds; brother, Bryan Seltzer; nephews, Mark (Alicia) Symonds and Kevin (Jennifer) Symonds; two grand-nephews, Jacen and Nolan; and many cousins.

She was a loving and giving person to everyone she met.

A graveside inurnment of ashes will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Berrien Springs.
