Shirla Kesler

Shirla Vee Kesler, 93, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, at West Woods of Bridgman in Bridgman, Michigan.

She was born May 17, 1923, in Davison, Michigan, the daughter of Lyle and Leota (Verrell) Bigelow.  In addition to caring for her family, she had worked as a nurses aide.  She was a member of the Eastern Star in Hale, Michigan, and she had also worked at Hale Hardware Store.

Shirla is survived by a daughter, Jacklynn (Nick) Bikichky of Stevensville, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Wendy Kesler of Hale; two sisters, Marie Demstedt of North Carolina and JoAnn Alspah of Florida; and many grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. “Jack” Kesler; son, Thomas Kesler; and several brothers and sisters.
