Stephanie Ann Dziekanowski, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, in Dowagiac, Michigan, at the age of 34. Born on September 6, 1990, in Berrien Center, Michigan, Stephanie's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Berrien Springs High School, Stephanie carried the same dedication and enthusiasm into her professional life. She was well-known and cherished in the community as the manager of Pizza Hut in Berrien Springs, where she not only served up smiles with every order but also fostered a warm and welcoming environment for both staff and customers. Her work was more than a job; it was an extension of her caring nature, and she formed many lasting friendships over the years.
Stephanie's heart was always her guide, and as co-parent with Joel Mbungu, they raised their two beloved children, Alina and Zander Mbungu, with unwavering love and devotion. Her role as a mother was her greatest joy and accomplishment, and she instilled in her children the values of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family.
Her family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her adoring parents, John and Teresa Dziekanowski; her sister, Tina (Robert) Milliken; and a host of loving family members who will miss her deeply. Stephanie's presence was a gift to her family, and her memory will be cherished in their hearts forever.
Stephanie's interests and hobbies were as vibrant and diverse as her personality. She was a free spirit who found beauty in the cosmos, from astrology to galaxies, and she had a passion for collecting rocks and crystals. Her love for animals was evident to all who knew her, and she could often be found dancing to her favorite music or cheering on her favorite NASCAR drivers. Sports were more than a pastime for Stephanie; they were a way to connect with friends and celebrate the thrill of competition.
Her home was a hub of activity and laughter, where cousins, friends, and family frequently gathered. Visits to her sister's house were always occasions filled with fun and camaraderie. Stephanie's outgoing nature made her the life of the party, and her generous spirit meant she was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.
Stephanie's legacy is one of love, kindness, and generosity. She touched the lives of many with her radiant smile and open heart. Her ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life, her unwavering support of her children, and her capacity to make everyone feel like family are just a few of the qualities that made her truly special.
As we bid farewell to Stephanie Ann Dziekanowski, we celebrate the light she brought into this world. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly through the lives of those she loved and the countless memories she leaves behind.
