Wendell L. Arney

Wendell Arney was born Feb 16th, 1944 in Benton Harbor Michigan to Gerald Arney and Gloria Lloyd.

He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1962 and enlisted in the Navy and went active on the USS Antietam CVS-36 carrier.

In 1971 he married the love of his life; Carol and they enjoyed 52 years in a loving marriage. He worked for the Village of Berrien Springs for 39 years and made many friends during that time.

He is survived by his wife, his son Justin Arney (Brook), granddaughters Maggie and Kaitie Arney, and a grandson Kelsey Schaefer.

Wendell enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, breakfast in the Village with friends and going to the casino with his wife.  He was an active member of Stevensville Legion Post 568.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and many Village friends.

A visitation will take place on Sunday October 22 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Allred Funeral Home. A Funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 3:00. Burial will take place at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda on Monday.

Memorials may be made to the family to help take care of all their rescued cats.
